A visit to Skudeneset farm and vineyard offers a glimpse of the good life. Situated by the mythical river Sygna, a passionate winemaker and his creative wife have established a fairy-tale homestead and one of the northernmost vineyards in the world.

Crazy about oysters and cannot get enough aphrodisiac of the sea? In this visit to a real oyster farm at a scenic bay tucked in between the maritime towns of Lillesand and Grimstad, you will get acquainted with the history of three generations of coastal farmers. The owners welcome you to a guided tour of the process plant and the oyster farm and invite to sample freshly prepared mussels and their specialty seaweed bread!

Let a guided city walk satisfy your appetite for history, culture, and local culinary treats. The first stop is at Fiskebrygga, the fish market to sample awarded seafood and freshly made fishcake. and enjoy the locally produced Henning Olsen ice cream. Our next stop is at Portalen, once part of a shipyard and now a café and gallery with a great ambiance. We end at Teateret, one of the trendier restaurants combining art, theatre, and dining under the same roof.

On the slopes of the Torridalen valley, minutes from Kristiansand, you can visit a real orchard farmer and his family. They will share all the secretes about apple farming by the banks of the Otra River, and you may help pick apples, raspberries, or rhubarb to make juices and jams, which you later get to taste with freshly made waffles

Toward the town of Grimstad we`ll take you to the world renown craft brewery Nøgne Ø. Norway’s leading and largest supplier of craft beers, exporting its excellent produce to 40 countries. See the historic power station, now housing the barrel cellar, as well as the modern new building next door where the actual brewery is located. You will be guided through the brewing process in an authentic production setting and on the way sample a wide range of unique and flavourful ales.

A guided sightseeing from Kristiansand city centre takes you to the open-air museum, to see the nearly 40 houses displaced from Kristiansand and get a feel of life back in 1580 at the authentic farmyard buildings relocated from the region of Setesdal. Walk around Minibyen exhibition, a miniature replica of the city in the early 1900s and enjoy waffles with Norwegian brown cheese, mountain sour cream and jam.
