On the slopes of the Torridalen valley, minutes from the pier in Kristiansand you can visit a real orchard farmer and his family. Learn about apple farming and be charmed by the view of the Otra River. Depending on the season, and what is to be harvested, you may help pick apples, raspberries or rhubarb. These delicacies all go into the making of juices and jams, which you may taste together with freshly made waffles.
Feel free to ask your host any questions you may have concerning farming and orchard growing. At the
farm shop, you can purchase honey from the farm’s hives, as well as other locally made items. There are two ways of getting to the orchard; by coach directly to the farm or up the river by RIB or boat. The RIB boat brings you from the cruise pier in Kristiansand up Otra River to a small dock near the farm. Enjoy the view of the surrounding area on the 150 meter walk uphill to the farm.
