The Fish Quay and vibrant social scene of Kristiansand is the natural starting point on a trail that takes you over the bridge to the island of Odderøya. It is an island in transformation and the hub of Kristiansand cultural activities yet offers an abundance of protected historical landmarks including the Lazarette quarantine hospital and a 400-year history of military activity.
Discover a thriving artist community and the ecosystem of the Salamander Pond. Walk to the Main Military Battery and highest viewpoint before descending a forest trail to the Old Odderøya Lighthouse. The tour rounds off at ocean level with spectacular views from the New Canal Boardwalk and a close look at modern
architecture, the Kunstsilo Art Museum and Kilden Performing Art Center. From this vantage point the cruise pier is a few metres away making a pitstop an easy choice.
