ENSLAVED

Kuben Cultural History Museum's most popular exhibition, "Enslaved," reveals Norway's dark involvement in the 18th and 19th-century slave trade. The exhibit centers on the tragic final voyage of the slave ship "Fredensborg," which wrecked off Tromøy in 1786.  The museum also offers other exhibits, including “Childhood” and “Traces of Life", which presents traces of life in the region from the first humans arrived in the area until the end of the Viking Age.
