Follow the challenging journey of the wild Atlantic Salmon up the Lygna River and you will find the dramatic and legendary Kvåsfossen waterfall and the National Salmon Centre. Here you will have an educational and unique insight into the life and spawning of the Salmon and examine one of Norway’s longest salmon ladders – the innovation that helped increase the salmon population.
Observe the salmon and trout through glass windows in mountain exhibition halls and follow the 220-metres long fish ladder tunnel for a thrilling wildlife experience. Enjoy the roar of the Waterfall in beautiful surroundings or “Walk the Plank” on a ledge directly above it to spot the “Troll Rock” – a breathtaking and memorable experience! The legends are plenty and the area is rich in cultural curiosities.
